Casa Apertura is a contemporary reimagining of a Victorian terrace in Carlton North, designed to maximise light, openness, and calm simplicity. The renovation and upper-level extension introduce thoughtfully sculpted spaces that flow into an open-plan layout, enhancing both functionality and connection throughout the home.
Natural light is drawn deep into the interior, supported by a palette of honest, tactile materials that create warmth and subtle elegance. The design balances restored heritage features with modern living, resulting in a home that feels refined, welcoming, and attuned to everyday family life. True to its name, Casa Apertura embodies the idea of opening up — a bright, serene, and sophisticated transformation of a classic terrace.

We recently completed a full renovation with Blueprint Constructions and had a very positive experience. The project involved both additions and alterations to our terrace, including a second storey within a tight block which required careful planning and execution.
From the outset, communication was clear, consistent and well structured, and Simon came well prepared — organised, engaged, and genuinely committed to the project. We are quite detail-orientated clients, and this was met with a high level of professionalism, planning and follow-through.
Simon and team worked well with our designer, collaborating effectively throughout the project and ensuring the design intent was well understood and carried through to execution. The build quality and attention to detail were strong, particularly in the finishing stages. When challenges arose, Simon and Matt had practical solutions ready and handled issues promptly, transparently with the best outcome in mind.
What stood out most was the integrity with which the project was managed, supported by regular reviews that kept everything transparent, accountable and well aligned. Commitments were honoured, communication remained open, and the focus stayed on delivering the right outcome.
